TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (CCEDO) hosted a two-day seminar-workshop on parliamentary procedure held at the St. Thomas Parish Hall.
The event aimed to provide the cooperative board members with the tools they needed for efficient governance and decision making.
Program Development Officer Engr. Ronald Ryan Jose served as the resource person for the seminar focusing his discussion on the principles of parliamentary procedure.
His presentation seeks to provide participants with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively conduct business meetings and conferences, with a focus on the importance of structured and organized meetings, which are crucial for micro and small cooperatives.
Participants at the two-day program will learn about meeting protocols, governance, decision-making processes, and techniques to improve cooperative management.
The CCEDO believes that parliamentary procedure is a crucial part of cooperative governance since it enables leaders and members to have quality and efficient meetings.
The seminar’s material is especially useful for newly elected cooperative officials, as it provides them with insights into holding productive meetings. The program likewise provided an opportunity for incumbent leaders to update and develop their meeting management capabilities.
The CCEDO’s initiative comes at an important time, as cooperatives in the area continue to expand and develop. The seminar’s focus on enhancing governance skills aimed to guarantee that cooperative boards are well-prepared to deal with issues and concerns that may occur during their business operations. The program provided an invaluable opportunity for cooperative leaders to improve their understanding of organizational structure and functions, resulting in better decision-making and more efficient meetings.
