TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The City Government of Tabuk concluded its Bible Month celebration with a meaningful gathering during the regular flag-raising ceremony held at the Tabuk People’s Gym on January 27.
During the ceremony, City Mayor Darwin Estrañero emphasized that the Bible Month celebration should inspire reflection on God’s deeds and encourage people to follow His example by doing good deeds.
He stressed the Bible’s role as a guide in daily life and acknowledged its power in bringing happiness and contentment, as well as encouraging support with one another in times of needs.
Mayor Estrañero also highlighted the significance of having leaders and advisers including pastors who guide the community with teachings that promote the common good.
As a leader, he expressed his vision for the employees of the city government to perform dedicatedly and provide quality services, ultimately leading to a successful and better local government unit that serves the people well.
Other city officials who shared messages of hope and inspiration during the event included Vice Mayor Dick Bal-o, and Councilors Kristian Wandag, Lucretina Sarol, Eduardo Sacayle, Abraham Lucaycay, Ivan Yannick Bagayao, Samuel Sumaal, Marc Rainier Duguiang, and ABC President Andrew Cos-agon.
Their messages served to reinforce the importance of unity, faith, and service to the community.
Meanwhile, the National Bible Month (NBM) is a celebration in the Philippines that takes place every January. The month-long celebration encourages people to read the Bible and engage with it.
The National Bible Day in the country is on the last Monday of January every year and this 2025, it is celebrated on January 27 that marks the day of meditation and deep spiritual connection. By Ian Jefrey Addatu
