The local government recognized some thirty six firefighters and other volunteers, individuals and groups who responded to the fire incident at the Maharlika Livelihood Center and augmented the city’s combined police operatives and firefighting units to contain the said incident.
The firefighters were represented by their colleagues, namely, Fire Inspector Tito Mendoza of the Tuba Fire station, Fire Inspector Ceasar C. Badang, Jr. of the Sablan Fire Station, Chief Inspector Mary Grace M. Balao-as of the La Trinidad Fire Station and Superintendent Jessie Annasiw, Provincial Fire Marshal of Benguet.
The city also expressed its gratitude to various individuals and groups for their generous contributions and overwhelming support during the cleanup operation after the fire incident at the Maharlika Livelihood Center.
Among those who were given recognition were SM City Baguio, Love Radio Baguio, MMCK Store in Camp 7, Baguio Family and Friends Lions Club, Baguio Center Mall, lawyer Jonathan B. Tambol, Rotary Club of Downtown Session, Baguio City Makatao Eagles Club, Valley Bread Café, Arch. May Carreon, Baguio City Police Office – Community Affairs Development Unit, City Buildings and Architecture Office (CBAO), City \Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), City \General Services office, BCPO Stations 1-10 and City Mobile Force Company.
Last month, a fire razed some three stalls at the third floor of the Maharlika Livelihood Center that caused the temporary closure of the whole facility under the completion of the arson investigation undertaken by the Baguio Fire Station and the cleanup activities participated in by various volunteers from inside and outside the city.
