City officials recently expressed the local government’s commendation to all those who contributed in the clearing as well as the immediate construction of relocation stalls for the affected vendors at Blocks 3 and 4 of the city public market.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that several groups, agencies, individuals, among others, helped in the immediate installation of the temporary stalls to be used by the more than 1,640 vendors displaced by the 5-hour fire that gutted portions of the city public market more than a week ago.
The city’s legislative body claimed that it was projected by technical staff that the stalls at Blocks 3 and 4 gutted by the 5-hour fire last May 11, 2023 will be restored in 2 to 3 months.
Earlier, the areas affected by the fire that gutted Blocks 3 and 4 had been cleared under the guidance of the city government.
