BAGUIO CITY – The city continuous to be a favorite venue for seminars, conventions, conferences and the like not only due to its being the nation’s undisputed Summer Capital but also the Education Center of the North.
The Tertiary School Publication Advisers Association-Cordillera Administrative Region (TSPAA-CAR) will host the 17th Luzon-wide Higher Education Press Conference with the theme, “#No Filter: Averting False Media through Ethical Journalism”, at Hotel Supreme from February 28 to March 2.
TSPAA-CAR President Brandino Bestre invited Mayor Mauricio Domogan to deliver the activity’s welcome remarks on February 28 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
He revealed that participants of the three-day event are winners of the different regions in Luzon together with their respective school advisers.
The Mayor said the city is honored for being chosen as venue for the prestigious activity and hoped that the participants will have wonderful memories of Baguio during their brief visit and treat it as their home-away-from-home.
He also extolled the importance of responsible journalism and a free press in a democracy and in the nation’s march towards progress and development.
“We pray that our future media practitioners will become paragons of ethical and responsible journalism someday,” Domogan stressed.
