Lingayen, Pangasinan – As the holy week ends, the official campaign period for the local government level takes place in this town.
Along with their supporters, local incumbent and aspiring politicians running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition and local party called Biskeg na Pangasinan crowded the Lingayen town plaza last Monday for the proclamation of Mark Cojuangco and Mark Roy Macanlalay as their gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidate in the upcoming 2016 elections.
Solons who have been supporting the Cojuangco-Macanlalay tandem also expressed their support on their bets. According to former 2nd district of Pangasinan Board Member Von Mark Mendoza, the said assembly was remarkable due to the attendance of incumbent mayors who endorse the tandem.
For Alaminos City Mayor Arthur Celeste, who have also spoken in behalf of his brother, 1st district Rep. Jesus ‘Boying’ Celeste, reminded the voters to base on the qualification, dedication and determination of the politicians as measures in choosing their leaders. “Gamitin ang tamang pananaw… tamang pag-iisip,” Celeste stated.
Cojuangco told that he was grateful for witnessing the swarming of their supporters in the plaza. “Hindi po mahalaga ang itatalumpati ko ngayong gabi, ang pinakamahalaga po sa akin ngayong gabi ay ang presensya ninyo,” Cojuangco underscored.
