TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Workers from various cooperatives here undergo training on digital marketing with basic photography and graphic design organized by the City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (CCEDO) from December 5-6.
This training is necessary to help cooperatives promote their brands to connect with potential customers using the Internet and other forms of digital communication.
Ronald Ramos, Administrative Officer V of CCEDO said digital marketing involves many of the same principles as traditional marketing and is often considered an additional way for companies to approach consumers and understand their behavior.
For this two-day training, the CCEDO invited Ms. Princess Dapeg, an expert from the field of digital marketing to teach the participants how to promote their products and services through digital platforms.
Dapeg presented topics on marketing, content planning, and digital marketing ideas for Cooperatives and introduced content creation, mobile photography, editing, captioning, and publishing posts.
Based on her presentations, she emphasized more on the idea that marketing encompasses a wide range of techniques and media that companies use to promote their products and services to potential consumers and improve their market share. To be successful, she said it requires a combination of advertising and sales savvy.
With the prominence of social media nowadays, CCEDO encourages all cooperatives to embody digital marketing, by creating their own Facebook accounts for wider promotion of their respective activities, services, and programs.
