BAGUIO CITY – A 35-year old policeman was hurt after he was reportedly mauled by two taxi drivers in front of a bar along Cresencia Village here recently.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the mauling victim as PO2 Mark Sungay Kiangan, 35, who is assigned with the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO).
The victim was reportedly mauled by the arrested suspects who were later identified as Ricarte Genesi Canero, 37, married and Francis Macaranas Santos, 38, married, both taxi drivers.
The victim reportedly sustained injuries on his lips and nose and was brought to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspects were brought to the BCPO headquarters for safekeeping prior to the filing of the appropriate charges against them.
