CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – PROCOR authorities’ sustained drive against illegal drugs netted them four suspected individuals in Benguet and Kalinga last Monday, June 1, 2020.
In La Trinidad, Benguet, Police and intelligence operatives of PROCOR implemented search warrants that resulted to the arrest of suspect Fritz Gerald Ricona Villena a high-value individual, at his residence in Alapang Proper, here, around 6:25 AM.
Seized during the search were 3 heat-sealed transparent sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with a total estimated weight of 1.4 grams, having an estimated value of Php9,520.00, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
In another search warrant implementation, Kalinga Police and Intelligence operatives were able to arrest three other suspected illegal drug carriers, one of whom is also listed as a high-value individual identified as Sixto Wacnang Ayong Jr., aka Jun Jun.
Seized from his possession were 2 medium-sized transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 10 grams with an estimated value of more or less Php70,000.00; 1 bundle empty transparent plastic sachet; 1 bundle money transaction receipts; and 1 laminated photocopy of vehicle registration receipts.
Also arrested during the operation were Vennie A. Natividad, who yielded 1 transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 5 grams with estimated DDB value of Php35,000.00 and 1 weighing scale; and Wakar Bayawoc Langngag, who was in possession of 5 transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 1 gram with an estimated street value of Php 6,000.00 and 6 small plastic transparent sachets with residue.
All three suspects were arrested in Barangay Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
The onsite inventory was witnessed by the arrested suspects and representatives from the media, DOJ, and Barangay officials from the respective places.
The suspect are now facing charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Regional Director PROCOR, PBGen Rwin Sta Ana Pagkalinawan said that the are happy to be able to arrest the the suspects to somehow stop the proliferation of drugs in the streets of Benguet and Kalinga and will continue to hunt down illegal drug syndicates operating in the region.
