BAGUIO CITY – The Summer Capital hosted hundreds of members of the Philippines National Police (PNP) from the 17 regional police offices who actively participated in the 4-day 5th Bless Our Cops International Conference held at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary (PBTS), Guisad Central here from November 27-30, 2015.
The seminar was facilitated by the members of the Bless Our Cops Movement Incorporation headed by Superintendent BINAG, Staff, coordinators of different Pastors (Nationwide) and Pastor Virgilio Muncada.
Bless Our Cops exists to bless the police force. It constantly prays for the Almighty God`s protection of everyone and the preservation of the PNPs vision, mission and core values and in the performance of the assigned duties and responsibilities of each of the members of the PNP assigned in different parts of the archipelago.
It invokes God`s favor upon the officers upholding them through prayers and encouragements in their challenges. It acknowledges that the PNP “servants of God” (Romans 13:4). Lastly it serves to aid the PNP in fulfilling such divine call and likewise, majority of the pastors are members of the City/Station Advisory Council of the different PNP Units.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), said the conduct of the 4-day seminar for designated PNP personnel nationwide will help improve the spiritual and moral values of the policemen and that the same will be cascaded to the lowest level for them to seek the guidance of the Almighty Father in all their respective endeavors.
“We support the frequent conduct of similar spiritual and moral upliftment activities for our policemen in order for them to be able to continuously and sustain the improvement of their core values leading towards the attainment of high spirituality and morality among the country’s police force,” Miranda stressed.
He challenged those who recently undertook the 4-day seminar to cascade to their respective police personnel the learnings that they were able to internalize for them to be able to effectively and efficiently cascade to their colleagues the importance of a healthy spiritual life which is important in improving their respective performances in their daily activities.
