CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Eighteen drug suspects and more than P1.5 million worth of marijuana were seized by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents during intensified anti-illegal drug operations in the different parts of the Cordillera recently.
Leading the list of the arrested drug personalities during the SACLEO were identified as Mark Daniel Tenorio Isidro, 29, of Almeda St, Tondo Manila and Godwin V. Aquino, 21, a resident of Clark, Angeles, Pampanga. The duo were separately arrested in a checkpoint operation at Tochey, Tocucan, Bontoc, Mountain Province after 16 dried marijuana leaves worth P1,584,000 were taken from their possession on August 21, 2019. 10 bricks of Marijuana leaves weighing 10,300 grams worth P1,236,000 were taken from Isidro while 5 Tubular Marijuana dried leaves weighing 2,800 grams and 1 Zip lock of Marijuana dried leaves with fruiting tops weighing 100 grams with a total worth of P348,000 were seized from the possession of Aquino.
Meanwhile, buy-bust operations and implementation of Search Warrants yielded 16 drug pushers who were neutralized regionwide recently.
Records show that Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and Benguet Police Provincial Office (BPPO), under the able leadership of the City Director, PCOL Allen F. Co and Provincial Director, PCOL Lyndon Mencio, respectively contributed the most number of apprehensions with 7 arrests each. Followed by Abra and Kalinga PPO with 1 arrest each.
During the entire operation, 30 sachets of suspected shabu, 3 tubular suspected dried marijuana leaves, P7,000.00 buy-bust money, P4,000.00 boodle money, 3 assorted cellular phones, one black Honda XRM motorcycle and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated.
PROCOR cops will strengthen police operations and intensify intelligence build up against personalities involved in illegal drugs for a more forceful, intensive and unrelenting campaign against drug pushers and users.
