BAGUIO CITY – A ranking official of the Lion’s Club District 301-C urged officers and members of the Cordillera Adivay Lion’s Club and other chapters of the civic organization to continue rendering voluntary service in order to cater to the basic needs of people.
Speaking before the first Charter anniversary of the Cordillera Adivay Lion’s Club here Wednesday, Alexander Ang, District Governor of Lion’s Club International District 301-C, said there is a need for the different chapters of the organization to be steadfast in the implementation of their desired projects in order to cater to the basic needs of people like food and shelter, education and health.
Aside from the various community service activities that will be implemented by the different organizations, Ang also cited that September 18-20 has been designated as environmental preservation and protection week where all chapters of the Lion’s Club will be conducting applicable activities in their respective places such as environmental preservation and protection projects like coastal clanup for lowland communities and tree planting events for those in the highlands.
At the same time, Ang, who served as the inspirational speaker during the first Charter anniversary and induction of the new set of officers of the Cordillera Adivay Lion’s Club, informed the different chapters that they will be receiving their respective glucometer by October in time for the implementation of their diabetes awareness program by November.

Pawid – Secretary, Melba C. Guives – Treasurer, Trinidad Cayading Trinidad – Chairperson of the Membership Committee, Rovilyn Mayat-an – Member, Fely O. Ocampo – Tail Twister, Imelda T. Pelera – Lion Tamer, Aida Dumangeng – Auditor, Melisa Therese Sapdoy, Victor Pelera, Harland Gary Pawid and Eugene Balway – 2-year Directors and Modesto Imayaho, Jr., Charles Castañeda, Alice Gay K. Imayaho and Joy R. Imayaho – 1-year Directors.
Representatives from the Hundred Islands Lions Club – Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Pangasinan Coast Lions Club – Dagupan City, Pangasinan, La Union Host Lions Club – San Fernando City, La Union, La Union LD Lions Club – San Fernando City, La Union, San Fernando La Union Lions Club – San Fernando City, La Union, Solano Sierra Madre Lions Club – Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Baguio Burnham Lions Club, Baguio Chrysanthemum Lions Club, Baguio City Host Lions Club, Baguio Everlasting Lions Club, Baguio Kindasan Lions Club, Baguio Magnolia Lions Club, Baguio Pines City Lions Club, Baguio Sunflower Lions Club and Metro Baguio Lions Club joined the officers and members of the Cordillera ADivay Lion’s Club in celebration of its first Charter anniversary held at the Hotel Supreme Margarita Hall.
