LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Eight wanted persons facing various criminal charges were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents during aggressive anti-criminality operations in the different parts of the Cordillera from May 26 to June 1, 2024.
Police authorities also reported that 53 municipalities in the different provinces also recorded zero crime incidents during the said period.
Further, the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) has recorded the highest number of arrests, with six wanted persons arrested, followed by the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Benguet PPO with one arrest each. Of these wanted individuals, two were listed as the Most Wanted Persons at the Provincial level.
Meanwhile, as a result of maintaining peace and order in the region, 53 municipalities in the different provinces of the region and three police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PRO-CAR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 22 municipalities of Abra; eight municipalities each in Mountain Province and Ifugao; six municipalities in Apayao; five municipalities in Benguet; and four municipalities in Kalinga. In Baguio City, zero crime incidents were recorded in Naguilian Police Station (PS1), Camdas Police Station (PS2), and Loakan Police Station (PS4).
