LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Family members and relatives of a Pampanga-based investigation agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) are seeking the assistance of combined law enforcers and anti-narcotics agents to conduct an investigation on the reasons why the aforesaid officer went missing to date.
In her letter to PDEA Region III regional director Christian O. Frivaldo, lawyer Antoniette Sumcad-Narcida stated that on June 27, 2021, the PDEA agent who was identified as Milton T. Fesway was allegedly arrested by still unidentified persons after the latter left their office in Angeles City, Pampanga on June 25, 2021.
Upon learning the said incident, the victim’s common-law wife immediately contacted relatives and friends to verify the information that reached him but neither of them knew his whereabouts nor what happened to him.
Alarmed by the situation, Fesway’s common-law wife travelled from Baguio City to Pampanga on the same day to talk to his common-law spouse’s supervisor but was informed that Fesway was left alone in their office on June 25, 2021 as his officemates went to the PDEA regional office in San Fernando City, Pampanga since it was their office’s anniversary that day.
Since then, the lawyer claimed that contacts were immediately initiated to all police stations in Angeles City, including Mabalacat police station, Dau, Mabalacat City, Angeles City drug enforcement unit and the Pampanga provincial drug enforcement unit to verify if Fesway is currently detained in their office or facility but all responded to the negative.
Further, verification from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Angeles City likewise showed that no case was ever filed against Fesway, particularly on June 25-29, 2021.
The public attorney disclosed that a blotter was immediately entered on the said incident at Angeles City Police Station 3 on June 28, 2021 and that to date, Fesway’s common-law wife, family members and relatives never received any call or text from him.
According to her, repeated calls and text messages were also sent to Fesway bot not one response was received from him and that there was no information received by Fesway’s family from any other law enforcement unit if he was arrested, if such was the case and that the only latest information received by the family is that he was allegedly arrested by the PNP drug enforcement group and was in custody of him.
Fesway’s family, relatives and friends called on the PDEA Region III to conduct an in-depth investigation on the cause of his sudden disappearance as the same is unusual for him to ensure that he is safe and that he will be able to rejoin them the soonest.
The family expressed hope that nothing band went wrong in the course of Fesway’s sudden disappearance because he is a responsible and dedicated investigating agent of the PDEA regional office aside from the fact that he is a reliable public servant who values the importance of his work to help in achieving the government’s overall goal of curbing the proliferation of illegal drugs in the different parts of the country by the end of the term of resident Rodrigo Duterte by noon of June 30, 2021 pursuant to the provisions of the 1987 Philippine Constitution after having completed his 6-year term.
