Five exceptional women-led firms were selected as regional winners in the Search for Innovative Women Entrepreneurs. Today marked a significant milestone for the Cordillera region as nine talented women-led entrepreneurs showcased their extraordinary skills and business acumen in the highly anticipated Pitching Competition.
The event, held as part of the ongoing Search for Innovative Women Entrepreneurs in the Cordillera, unfolded with a display of passion, innovation, and entrepreneurial prowess.
Out of the nine participants, the esteemed panel of judges faced the challenging task of selecting the regional winners who will represent the Cordillera region in the upcoming National Innovation Challenge on June 23-24, 2023 in Manila.
After careful deliberation, the following five exceptional entrepreneurs emerged victorious: Northern Roots Session Groceries Group Inc., of Benguet; Kalinga Indigenous Weavers Association Etnika Handicrafts of Kalinga; RIPPLES Soaps and Scents of Kalinga; Inglayan Di Ibila RIC Farmers Association Inc. of Mountain Province; and Agguimangan Agro-Eco Tourism Farm of Apayao.
Each of these outstanding women-led firms was awarded a grant of 50,000.00 to further fuel their entrepreneurial endeavors. Additionally, they will proudly represent the Cordillera region at the highly anticipated National Innovation Challenge scheduled this June.
This competition brings together the brightest minds from across the country, vying for the grand prize of 100,000.00 and a chance to secure a remarkable P5 million grant for their innovative project.
The regional winners will undergo a comprehensive and intensive mentoring program to be spearheaded by TARAKI-CAR, DOST-CAR, DOST PCIEERD, and VILLGRO Philippines.
Through this empowering collaboration, these remarkable entrepreneurs will have the invaluable opportunity to refine their business strategies, fine-tune their innovation, and amplify their impact.
The success achieved by these talented entrepreneurs highlights the thriving spirit of innovation and resilience within the Cordillera region.
