City officials recently congratulated and commended Herald Express, a local weekly publication, for being recognized by the Social Security System (SSS) as its 2023 Balikat ng Bayan Best Media Partner – print category for the former’s significant and valuable contributions in helping SSS share its programs and services to members and pensioners during the 2023 Balikat ng Bayan awarding ceremony held at September 8, 2023 at the Ramon Magsaysay Hall, SSS building, Diliman, Quezon City.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Betty Lourdes F. Tabanda, local legislators stated that the local government extends its felicitation and congratulates Herald Express for the recognition and honor.
Earlier, SSS lauded its top partners for their significant and valuable contributions in helping the State insurance corporation fulfill its mandate of providing programs and services to its members and pensioners during the 2023 Balikat ng Bayan awarding rites held last September 8, 2023 at the SSS main office in Diliman, Quezon city.
Herald Express, a Baguio-based weekly publication circulating in the Cordillera and some parts of Northern Luzon, was the first local publication in the north to be conferred the award of Best Media Partner-print category.
The newspaper had been providing SSS with a free weekly column since 2016 that allowed the State insurance corporation to be able to widely disseminate its programs for members and pensioners alike.
Further, herald Express and other top partners were conferred the awards to honor the partners and their contributions and as a show of gratitude to the efforts and partnership with SSS in the delivery of quality services.
The Balikat ng Bayan Awards, an annual event of the SSS, acknowledges the valuable contributions and unwavering support of individuals and institutions in helping SSS deliver its mandates.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the management of Herald Express for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
