City officials recently approved the request for modification of the details of the programmed appropriations indicated in the memorandum of agreement (Moa) entered into by the local government with the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for the implementation of the medical assistance city aid program for indigent patients in the city for 2024 signed on April 16, 2024 to accommodate specific changes and quantity based on the latest prices calculated from the conducted market survey of BGHMC.
Under Resolution No. 499, series of 2024, the BGHMC for the year 2024 has received the amount of P20.4 million from the local government of which the specific amount of P11.7 million was appropriated for the purchase of various equipment.
However, the said programmed items was based on the price references available in 2023.
Earlier, the council passed Resolution No. 173, series of 2024 tasked the City Mayor representing the local government to enter into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the BGHMC for the implementation of the medical assistance city aid program for indigent patients in the city for the year 2024.
In her letter dated July 29, 2024, City Legal Officer Althea Rosana Alberto forwarded the letter dated June 27, 2024 of Dr. Larry C. Haya, Jr., BGHMC officer-in-charge, requesting approval for the modification of the details of the programmed appropriations indicated on the Moa signed on April 16, 2024 to accommodate specific changes in quantity based on the latest prices calculated from the conducted market survey such as cardiac 20 units of cardiac monitors, 2 ECG machines, 10 syringe pumps, 24 suction machines and 10 infusion pumps.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the BGHMC for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
