BAGUIO CITY June 02 – A visting municipal councillor from Pangasinan and a local company guard were successively victimized by still unidentified bukas kotse thieves in different parts of the central business district Monday night.
Police authorities identified the bukas kotse victims as Fina Igancio Ibasan, 28, single, a municipal councillor and a native of San Fabian, Pangasinan and Antonio Dulnuan Guyguyon, 39, married and a company guard of a local publication here.
Councilor Ibasan reportedly parked her vehicle along Jose Abad Santos Drive considering that she and her friends went to buy second-hand items from the different stalls in the city’s night market along Harrison Road.
When the municipal councillor and her friends went back to their vehicle, she was surprised to discover that the back window of the vehicle was already broken.
After conducting an inspection inside her vehicle, Councilor Ibasan discovered that her sling bag containing a cellphone with a still undetermined value and a wallet containing still undetermined foreign currencies and cash as well as important personal documents was already missing.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team failed to lift latent prints from the vehicle leaving probers clueless on the suspects behind the bukas kotse incident.
On the other hand, Guyguyon reportedly parked his Pajero below the city hall to attend a birthday party in nearby QM Barangay but patrolling law enforcers discovered that one of the rear windows of the said vehicle was broken which prompted them to call the victim’s attention.
Found missing inside Guyguyon’s vehicle was a bag containing important documents of the said vehicle.
Police operatives and SOCO team personnel were also not able to lift latent prints from the burglarized vehicle.
