BAGUIO CITY – Lawyers of the Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJH DevCo) and top officials of the Camp John Hay Golf Club, Inc. (CCGCI), The Manor and the Forest Lodge are now studying their appropriate legal remedies after the sheriff of the city’s Regional Trial Court (RTC) served the writ of execution and notice to vacate to the company and its officers over the 247-Hectare John Hay Special Economic Zone (JHSEZ).
With the assistance from law enforcers, the RTC sheriffs padlocked the CJH DevCo offices and other top officials, Judson Eustaquio of the CJH Golf Club, Inc. and Ramon Cabrera of the forest Lodge and The Manor.
Further, CJH DevCo employees were given until tomorrow, January 7, 2025 to remove their personal belongings in their offices
At the same time, gates leading to the aforesaid establishments were temporarily padlocked and guests are barred from entering the same until such time that the sheriffs shall have fully served the said notices.
Lawyer Federico Mandapat, Jr., legal counsel of the Camp John Hay Leisure Corporation and chairman of the membership committee of the golf Club, said that they were assured that it will be business as usual inside the affected establishments once the service of the notice to vacate and writ of execution shall have been fully served.
However, he said that their lawyers are studying their available legal remedies to assert the rights of the third parties on the operations of the affected establishments. By HENT
