City officials recently congratulated and commended Nicole Agoy Gonzels of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) for topping the May 2024 certified public accountant licensure examination.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the achievement of the topnotcher has brought honor and pride to the city which is yet another testament that the city’s educational institutions provide high quality education and a proof that indeed the city remains to be the educational center of the north.
Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that some 3,155 out of the 10,421 examinees passed the licensure examination for certified public accountants held on May 26, 27 and 28, 2024 given and facilitated by the Board of Accountancy.
The results of the aforesaid examination was released after three working days from the last day of the examination which was held in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Gonzales, a UC alumnus, was one of the 3,155 examinees who hurdled the said examination.
She did not only pass the rigid licensure examination but also topped the same with an average of 90.83 tying the top spot with Hazel Ann Conception Sera of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Gonzels and the UC administration for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
