BAGUIO CITY– The Chamber of Real Estate Builders Association – Baguio-Benguet Chapter (CREBA-BBC) has opened the search for its outstanding members in order to empower members of the organization to be active in the affairs of the organization and contribute in the group’s service to the community.
Engr. Mario R. Alzona, Jr., CREBA-BBC president, said the organization wants to motivate its members to be active members of the society by putting to practice their respective corporate social responsibility to contribute in the overall development of the Baguio and Benguet areas.
“We want our group to have a significant contribution in charting the growth and development of Baguio and Benguet because we want the place where we live to be an ideal area for habitation. We can individually and collectively do our part in community development and we want our members to be part of our community service efforts,” Alzona stressed.
The theme of the organization’s programs and projects this year is “Gearing Towards Sustainable Development Trough Environmental Preservation and Protection.”
Alzona said CREBA wants every member to have its unique contribution in the growth and development of Baguio and Benguet through their respective unique contributions that is why they came up with the search for outstanding members to provide the benchmark on the performing and non-performing members.
While the search for outstanding CREBA members does not have a monetary reward, the CREBA-BBC official cited the citations to be given out by the organization will serve as an added feather to the cap of the different companies comprising the group that could become their bragging rights in the future.
According to him part of the criteria in the search for outstanding CREBA members are their active participation to the various activities of the organization, their involvement to community service activities not only initiated by the organization but also in their respective initiatives among others.
He appealed to the members to actively participate in the said program of the organization in order to strengthen the organization’s bargaining power to help decision-makers come out with reason in the implementation of various development projects in the different parts of the city in the future.
CREBA-BBC is the umbrella organization of real estate developers and interested individuals and companies wanting to uphold the groups vision and mission in the Baguio and Benguet areas.
Alzona said the organization is satisfied over the increasing number of members wanting to join the group, citing that during their monthly business meetings, companies are inducted as either regular or honorary members in order to boost the significant growth of the organization.
One of the major programs of the CREBA-BBC leadership this year is to significantly increase its membership by recruiting real estate companies and individual brokers to become members and contribute in the implementation of its worthy programs and projects.
