TABUK CITY, Kalinga – On Friday, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) gave emergency aid to a Barangay Lucog fire victim.
Nora Saladao, who lost her property and possessions in the June 20 fire, was the recipient.
Five boxes of family food packs, a box of family kit, a box of sleeping kit, a box of cooking kit, a box of hygiene kit, and a box from the regional Department of Social Welfare and Development office were included in the aid given (DSWD).
Social Welfare Officer III Marinel Dorgay, who oversaw the provision of aid, alongside representatives from the Tabuk City Police Station (TCPS) said that in addition to the supplies given by the DSWD-CAR, Saladao also received financial assistance from the CSWDO’s Aide to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
The fire victim expressed her gratitude for the support she received at this difficult time of her life.
According to Local Mayor Darwin Estrañero, who expressed gratitude for the support given by the DSWD-CAR, the city administration will keep helping individuals who are going through difficult or stressful times by providing the necessities.
