The City Local Government through its City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) received several awards for its excellence in service delivery of social welfare and development programs.
On April 4, 2025 in Baguio City, among the awards conferred by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-CAR, the ‘Gawad Serbisyong Masigasig’ (City Category) recognition testifies to the CSWDO’s commitment to quality service and innovations for the people it serves.
CSWD Officer Eusebia Edduba, accompanied by Ms. Aida Bermillo, CSWD’s focal person on livelihood and Mr. Danny Estrañero, received the awards, as part of the 2024 Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan (Panata ko sa Bayan) which recognizes the efforts and skills of CSWD workers in ensuring prompt and effective implementation of services, ensuring no client is left behind.
According to Edduba, receiving an award from DSWD inspires them to work even harder, going the extra mile for the welfare and well-being of the people they work with- the women, children, youth, families and communities.
The DSWD also gave the city government a certificate of recognition as first placers in the three categories namely ‘Gawad Serbisyong Masigasig’, ‘Gawad Serbisyong Mapagkalinga’ and ‘Gawad Serbisyong Matapat’ for outstanding delivery of social welfare services.
