TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has evaluated the various accomplishments of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) from District 2 barangays.
This is done to help the groups determine their future direction, needs, and priorities as well as to assess the status, effectiveness, and progress of the programs and activities they carried out in 2022.
Barangays Dupag, Suyang, New Tanglag, Malin-awa (Binongsay), Calanan, Naneng, Bado Dangwa, Bagumbayan,Bantay, Cabaritan, Amlao, Gobgob,Magnao and Lucog are the locations of these KALIPI groups.
According to Eusebia Edduba, Social Welfare Officer IV of CSWDO, as an organized people’s organization (PO) of women started by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the program review and evaluation is to encourage the group to maintain its strong points in the years to come, while at the same time identifying the gaps and challenges that might affect their operation.
Speaking on behalf of City Mayor Darwin Estrañero, City Administrator Arnold Tenedero reaffirmed that KALIPI organizations’ plans and initiatives for empowerment have the full support of the city administration.
He urged members of this group to actively participate in the endeavors of their respective communities and the local government unit as well.
KALIPI groups from the other districts will likewise hold their program review and evaluation with the goal of strengthening the quality of their programs and improving outcomes.
