BAGUIO CITY – In line with its continuing pursuit for improved human resource (HR) systems, the Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR) has been recognized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC)-CAR for meeting the Maturity Level II indicators for HR Systems and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) Competencies on Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP).
CSC-CAR Regional Director Fernando O. Mendoza together with CSC-Field Office Baguio Director Josefina S. Tamondong, personally awarded the Certificate of Recognition to the DA-CAR Management led by Regional Executive Director Atty. Jennilyn M. Dawayan earlier today, December 17, 2024, during the DA-CAR’s Management Committee Meeting in Guisad, Baguio City.
“This award will pave way for us to fast track the recruitment and selection. More than that would be the development of our processes as an organization in the Cordillera. Thank you very much for your [CSC-CAR and Baguio Field Office] assistance and we hope to be able to get the other core areas next year,” expressed RED Dawayan.
Dir. Mendoza also underscored that the recognition is a proof that the agency is already process-defined when it comes to RSP.
RSP is one of the four pillars of the CSC’s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM). PRIME-HRM is a mechanism that empowers government agencies by developing their HRM competencies, systems, and practices toward HR excellence. The other pillars are Project Management, Rewards and Recognitions and Learning and Development. Meeting set indicators across all the four pillars is the determinant for the maturity level of an organization. The agency continuously improves on the other pillars together with the assistance of CSC-Field Office Baguio.
Also present in the awarding ceremony are Supervising Human Resources Specialist Ms. Maira Geneva W. Nuarin of CSC-CAR and Administrative Assistant Argie Q. Aquino of CSC-Field Office Baguio. By Janice B. Agrifino
