BAGUIO CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform-Cordillera Administrative Region (DAR-CAR) has just welcomed the new Assistant Regional Director (ARD), Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers II (PARPO II) for Abra and Benguet last December 29, 2022 at the Orchard Hotel, Legarda, Baguio City.
For DAR Abra, Atty. Penelope B. De Ausen turned over her responsibility as PARPO II to Atty. Mercedes S. Borongan. For DAR Benguet, Virginia D. Aycud turned over her PARPO II duties to Atty. Penelope B. De Ausen. Afterwards, Virginia D. Aycud graciously accepted her new role as DAR-CAR ARD.
In her acceptance speech, Borongan encouraged the provincial office that they will accomplish many things with teamwork and supporting one another.
De Ausen shared in her acceptance speech that she will miss her former officemates in Abra, but wishes them all the best. She also said that she is blessed to be home based in DAR Benguet and is already acquainted with many of the personnel there.
Aycud has also said that she will miss her fellow colleagues in DAR Benguet. She previously worked in the regional office as Chief of Support to Operations Division and she is glad to work with the office again to fulfill her duties for the whole DAR Cordillera.
The DAR-CAR Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero gave an inspirational speech in which he echoed the statement, “The only constant in life is change,” by Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher. Although there are changes in their work, he said he is there to guide and not to micromanage. He wants everyone to work right together and keep moving forward.
RD and ARD have said that they plan to visit the six provinces to get to know more of the office and community there.
