BONTOC, Mountain Province – A two-day Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) Caravan was held for Mountain Province participants at the Mountain Province State Polytechnic (MPSPC) auditorium and culminated on June 27, 2024
The caravan was initiated by Northland Technical Institute (NTI), in partnership with the Land Transportation Office (LTO)-CAR, the MPSPC, the provincial government, the Office of the Congressman, and DJS Medical Clinic.
Attending the closing program of the caravan were OIC-Land Transportation Officer, Engr. Angelique C. De Castro, Executive Assistant Ernesto Bondad representing Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., Wabilyne Lomong-oy representing Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., Bontoc Mayor Jerome B. Tudlong and NTI Administrator Winifred G. Cue.
Lomong-oy expressed the gratitude of the Office of the Congressman to all the partners involved in providing a free course to avail of a student driver’s license for the constituents of Mountain Province.
“This requirement to undergo a 15-hour seminar to obtain a student driver’s license is the government’s attempt to keep our roads safe and ensure that everyone who gets a driver’s license must be disciplined first,” Lomong-oy said.
In addition, Bondad congratulated all the participants for completing the course and encouraged everyone to use their newly acquired knowledge and skill to enhance their potential in seeking employment and becoming role model drivers for Mountain Province. By HENT
