TADIAN, Mountain Province – The provincial government started the first leg of its three-day distribution of MannaPack Rice to different daycare centers in Tadian on September 9, 2024.
The rice packs were provided by the Minister’s Association Integrated Nutrition Program, Incorporated (MAINPI).
Jonaliza S. Lacwasan, the mayor’s wife, led the turnover ceremony of the food assistance to the child development workers (CDWs) and barangay officials on behalf of Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. Joining her were Social Welfare Officer Grail L. Patiogo from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and Social Welfare Assistant Jovita C. Bakisan from the Municipal SWDO of Tadian.
A total of 69 boxes of Manna Pack Rice were distributed to 23 day care centers in barangays Pandayan, Dacudac, Lenga, Bana-ao, Cagubatan, Cadad-aanan, Am-am, Tue, Balaoa, Bunga, Kayan East, Kayan West, and Poblacion. Each center received three boxes. Moreover, an additional 12 boxes were also turned over for the SNPs in Tadian.
In her message, Lacwasan relayed the governor’s gratitude to the MAINPI for their generosity. She explained that the distribution of the MannaPack Rice complements the objective of Governor Lacwasan’s Barangay Muna Program. In addition, she and Bakisan were one in explaining that the distributed rice are specially formulated for children in order to meet their nutritional needs.
In relation to the Barangay Muna Program, Patiogo identified the various assistance being offered under the Barangay Muna Program, which the child development workers and barangay officials can avail from. These assistance mentioned by Patiogo include the Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situation or AICS, Assistance to CDWs, Assistance to Individual Affected by Calamities, and financial assistance to centenarians, among others.
In response, the CDWs and barangay officials respectively relayed their gratitude to the provincial government and to the MAINPI for their generosity and efforts in supporting the welfare of the children in Tadian.
Meanwhile, the distribution will continue to the remaining day care centers of Tadian located in the barangays of Masla, Duagan, Sumadel, Batayan, Bantey, and Mabalite on September 10 and 11, 2024. After Tadian, the distribution will continue in Bauko. By Hail, MP
