BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government under the leadership of Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. and through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Board Member Jazzel-Mae P. Masidong, funded the purchase of learning materials amounting to PHP 81,774 for the Alternative Learning System (ALS) of the Mountain Province office of the Department of Education.
On behalf of Gov. Lacwasan, Executive Assistant Clement P. Sokoken personally handed the ALS learning materials, which consist of 200 reams of A4 bond paper and 10 pcs. duct tapes, 8 pieces of staplers, 2 pieces of puncher, and 80 boxes of staple wire, to Dep-Ed ALS Division Focal Person Lea A. Manogan at the Capitol, Quadrangle recently.
EA Sokoken said that the project is under the Provincial Governor’s Barangay Muna program intended to assist and provide services down to the grassroots.
In response, ALS Division Focal Person Manogan expressed her gratitude to the provincial government.
“The supplies are a great help to the learners of Mountain Province. We are thankful to Gov. Lacwasan and SK Masidong for their full support to DepEd programs. “Hopefully, the support of the provincial government to the department will continue,” she said.
Meanwhile, the turnover was witnessed by Provincial Social Welfare officer Ghen C. Yodong and company. By MP Press Release
