BAGUIO CITY – City officials recently commended and congratulated the Department of the Interior and Local government (DILG) Baguio City field office led by City Director Millicent P. Carino for being recognized as the champion in the Most Innovative Provincial/Highly Urbanized City team category during the October 2024 Local Government month celebration.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the accolade reflects the dedication, innovation, and collaborative spirit of the DILG city field office in fostering positive change and continuous improvement within the local government units they serve.
Earlier, the DILG-CAR held the 33rd Local Government Month celebration last October 29, 2024 at the Crown Legacy Hotel to honor and recognize exceptional contributions to local governance and public service.
The annual event unites local government units, partner agencies, and DILG-CAR personnel to recognize and celebrate exceptional accomplishments, encourage innovative practices and emphasize the importance of gender development and inclusivity.
The celebration included the 2024 Tsinelas ni Jessie Invocations Awards, which is a prestigious recognition named after the late Secretary Jessie M. Robredo acknowledging outstanding efforts and innovative practices in the field of local governance.
The DILG Baguio City field office headed by Carino was adjudged as the champion in the Most Innovative Provincial/Highly Urbanized City team category highlighting their exemplary work and commitment to developing forward-thinking strategies for effective governance and service delivery.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the DILG Baguio City field office as a token of recognition and appreciation for their continued service and dedication to innovation in public governance and for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
