BAGUIO CITY – The Cordillera office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH-CAR) held a three-day training recently on Highway Design Plan Preparation using the Bentley Open Roads Designer Software Application at the DPWH National Training Center, Cabinet Hill, Baguio City.
The hands-on training was attended by representatives of the Planning and Design Division of the regional office and the Planning and Design Sections from the 12 district engineering offices (DEOs). It aimed to equip the participants with the skills of conducting Highway Design Plan Preparation using DPWH Standard Workspace with Bentley Open Roads Designer Software Application, a software used for designing road and highway projects in 2D and 3D.
Engr. Sheena May Domingo, an Applications Engineer from InfraSys Incorporated, served as the resource speaker and trainer, who discussed the new application and instructed the participants on navigating it.
“Our department, our management, is looking into ways that our work will be easier, faster, and efficient,” said Regional Director Khadaffy D. Tanggol in his message.
“Itong training na ‘to is part of the program of our department to enhance our knowledge and to make our work more efficient and effective,” he added (This training is a part of the department’s program to enhance our knowledge and to make our work more efficient and effective).
The participants are expected to cascade the new knowledge to their respective DEOs. By DPWH-CAR
