BAGUIO CITY – A 32-year old driver was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after he was traced to be the owner of the get away vehicle of the alleged robbers that carted away more than P38 million from the United Coconu Palnters Bank (UCPB) branch in Libod-I, Libmanan, Camarines Sur last week.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Romel Bacoco Pis-ew, 32, married, driver, and a resident of No. 504 San Vicente, Baguio City who was arrested by the operating troops in his residence.
The arrested individual was said to be the owner of a white Toyota Grandia that served as the get away vehicle of the suspects who perpetrated the robbery incident inside the bank in the evening of October 8, 2017.
The arrested individual and his companions allegedly rented a space in the same place where the bank was situated and allegedly dug a hole underground with a length of more or less 7 meters until it reached the floor which was more or less 2 feet away from the value of the bank.
Witnesses positively identified the arrested individual as one of the alleged perpetrators of the ban robbery incident and that he was brought to Libmanan Municipal Police Station for documentation and the filing of the appropriate case against them.
