ITOGON, Benguet – A 25-year old driver died after he was stabbed by a fellow driver during a commotion that cropped up in a drinking session inside a store at Banget, Ampucao, here, SATURDAY.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Alnario Paquito, 25, single, driver while the suspect was named as Michael Ojas, in his 30, married, driver.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and eight other companions went to a store in the neighbrhood to have a drinking session.
After several hours of drinking liquor, the victim and a companion went out of the store but the former allegedly pushed his companion that caused him to fall on the concrete stairs and subsequently mauled him/
After a few moments, the suspect suddenly arrived and confronted the victim on why he mauled his companion.
Instead of waiting for a response, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim several times on the different parts of his body that caused him to collapse in front of the Philex Mining Corporation gate.
He was rushed to the Philex hospital for medical treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
