BANGUED, Abra – A 43-year old construction worker who is an alleged drug suspect was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession alleged illegal firearms a,, munitions and assorted illegal drug paraphernalia during the service of a search warrant in his residence at Paz St., Zone V, here, Wednesday evening.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as Diony Macario Trinidad a.k.a Bongbong, 43, married, construction worker, located at Paz Street, Zone 5, Bangued, Abra.
Confiscated from his possession were One caliber .9mm DAEWOO with serial number BA 704499 chamber loaded with live ammunition, with inserted magazine loaded with 13 live ammos; one magazine assembly for .9mm loaded with 12 live ammunition; two ammunitions for caliber for 7.62mm; one empty magazine for .9mm; one live ammunition for .9mm; one black holster for caliber .9mm; one airgun; one black empty pack of Lucky Strike cigarette containing three (3) transparent heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; unsused rolled aluminum foil and one strip aluminum foil.
The arrested individual and the confiscated pieces of evidence were subsequently bnrought to the Bangued Municipal Police Station for the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
The search warrant against the suspect was issued by Judge Rafiel Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 2 in Bangued, Abra.
