CONNER, Apayao – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Apayao, through its Negosyo Center in Caglayan, Conner, conducted a Product Costing and Pricing Training on July 26, 2024.
Some 12 loom weavers from the Tapokol Weavers Association, Kalipi Women’s Organization, and 10 sari-sari store owners participated in the said training, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the loom weavers’ products and the offerings of the sari-sari store owners.
Trade and Industry Development Analyst Zenaida Borromeo served as the keynote speaker. She underscored the importance of analyzing cost components, including production and auction costs, to identify opportunities for savings. She also highlighted the value of detailed cost information in setting competitive yet profitable product prices.
In her presentation, she shared strategies for improving financial management skills, including effective money handling, cash flow management, and future expense planning. By Loremia Pareja
