AURORA, Philippines – On January 17, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) distributed 668 business kits across Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan, all in Aurora province, as part of its Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) initiative. The project aims to foster local entrepreneurship and drive economic growth at the grassroots level.
Each business kit contains essential sari-sari store packages designed to empower micro-entrepreneurs in establishing sustainable livelihoods. Led by Regional Operations Group (ROG) Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino Jr., a total of 225 business kits were distributed in Dilasag, 299 in Casiguran, and 144 in Dinalungan.
The event in Dinalungan was attended by DTI Regional Director Edna Dizon, Aurora Provincial Director Aldrin Veneracion, Provincial Governor Hon. Reynante Tolentino, and Congressman Hon. Rommel Rico Angara, who collectively expressed their strong support for the program.
Prior to the event, Assistant Secretary Tolentino met with Dipaculao Municipal Mayor Hon. Danilo Tolentino to discuss the implementation of the Roads Leveraging Linkages for Industry and Trade (ROLL-IT) program, in coordination with the municipal engineer
Assistant Secretary Tolentino and Mayor Tolentino, joined by Regional Director Dizon and Provincial Director Veneracion, also inspected the proposed ROLL-IT project location.
