PARACELIS, Mountain Province – A 44-year old geodetic engineer was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after he was found to be in possession of some P93,000 worth of shabu during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence at Bantay, here, Saturday.
Police Col. Sibly Dawigey, Provincial director of the Mountain Province Provincial Police office, said that the arrested drug suspect is a high value target of the government operating troops considering his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
His arrest was an offshoot of the implementation of a search warrant by joint operatives from Mountain Province PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force Company, Paracelis Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and PDEA- Mountain Province in his residence.
During the operation, the operatives were able to discover two sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 13.7 grams, with a Standard Drug Price of Php 93,160.00; one cal. 22 rifle without serial number; and assorted drug paraphernalia.
An on-site inventory of the recovered evidence was conducted in the presence of the arrested suspect, and witnessed by media representative Daria Jose Gumtang and three Barangay Kagawads of barangay Bantay.
Following the operation, the suspect and the confiscated evidence were taken into custody by Paracelis MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
