BANGUED, Abra October 09 – A 49-year old municipal engineer was injured after he was shot by a gun-wielding suspect at Zone IV, here, Thursday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Ferdinand Guzman, 49, married, municipal engineer of Bangued, Abra and a resident of Zone 1, Bangued, Abra while the suspects was named as Mario A. Taloma alias Mayong Taloma and Percival Tamo Taloma alias Baldo Taloma.
Initial police investigation showed that that victim and two other companions were on board and vehicle and he and one of the occupants decided to alight from the said vehicle to buy something from a nearby store.
His companions called the attention of someone and instructed him to leave them but the suspect appeared and had a heated argument with the victim after which three gunshots were heard from the direction of the vehicle.
The victim was rushed to the Seares Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspects were arrested by responding police operatives during a hot pursuit operation.
