BAGUIO CITY– The lifeless body of a 38-year old entertainer was found by a labourer inside the comfort room of No. 71 2nd Floor, Purok 5, Pinsao Pilot Project here around 8:30 am Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the alleged suicide victim as Baby Girl Ancheta alias Rodelyn, 38, entertainer and a resident of Honeymoon, Baguio city.
Initial police investigation showed that between 5 pm to 6 pm Friday, the victim and her boyfriend, who was identified as Ronald Soriano Zulueta, 30, labourer and a resident of No. 4 Honeymoon, Baguio City had a dialogue at the aforesaid address wherein they agreed to put an end to their relationship.
Her boyfriend informed probers that his girlfriend told him that if he will leave her, he will no longer see her again and then went inside the comfort room of the said structure.
He reportedly knocked on the door of the comfort room purposely to ask permission before leaving, however, the victim allegedly locked the door so that he left and went home to Honeymoon on the aforesaid date.
Responding police operatives noticed that the door was closed and at the same time blocked by a water container. Further, a steel rod was seen scattered on the floor diagonal from the victim towards the door.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team led by Superintendent Rodrigo Leal declared that the cause of the victim’s death is through asphyxia by hanging.
The victim was brought to a local funeral parlor awaiting the arrival of her relatives in order to give her a descent burial.
