LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Governor Espino during the Provincial Development Council (PDC) meeting held recently hailed the efforts and sacrifices of the PDC member local government units, institution, and councils in giving substance to their mandates.
The PDC meeting convened by Governor Espino recently at the Sison Auditorium approved the priority programs, projects, and activities of the province next year as enshrined in the Annual Investment Plan. It was attended by 43 PDC member local government units, institution and councils, out of the total 54.
Expressing gratitude to the development partners of the province, Governor Espino underscored the collaboration of the composition of the PDC, which brought the province into its present status as one of the best performing provinces in the country.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong sakripisyo, at sa inyong pagtulong sa ating mga kababayan,” said Governor Espino.
Assuring the local chief executives present during the PDC meeting that projects in barangays are given priority, Gov. Espino bared that in support to the healthcare development thrust of the province, continuous upgrading of the 14 provincial government – run hospitals are also undertaken.
The provincial government, he added, is also working non-stop on expanding its programs for agriculture, tourism, and sports.
Governor Espino, likewise, has set sights of escalating further the province’s capability on disaster risk reduction and management, and to help capacitate local government units in responding to emergency cases.
