RIZAL, Kalinga January 29 – A 50-year old farm caretaker died after he was fired upon by still unidentified heavily armed men believed to be members of the New Peoples Army (NPA) at Dalagang Suso, Romualdez, here, Friday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Mario Gabison Mnu, 50, married, farm caretaker of certain AMBONG OCAN, and a resident of Romualdez, Rizal, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was walking towards his workplace when he was fired upon by the heavily armed men who were seen in the area for still unknown reasons.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that caused his instantaneous death while probers are still conducting the appropriate investigation to a certains the motive behind his murder.
