BUGUIAS, Benguet – A 28-year old farmer was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in possession illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia during a buy bust operation over the weekend.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the arrested drug pusher as Marvelon Tangec Ludaes alias “Belon”, 28, single, farmer and driver, and a resident of Lilit, Poblacion, Buguias, Benguet.
Confiscated from his possession were 1 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing .025 grams of suspected “shabu”; 1 big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 5.2 grams of suspected “shabu”; 1 medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 3 grams of substance suspected “shabu”; 4 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu” approximately .05 grams each; 5 pieces 100 peso bill buy-bust money; Cash amounting to P10,000.00; 1 black cherry mobile cellular phone; and 1 green cricket plastic lighter.
The arrested drug pusher and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Buguias MPS for proper documentation while a case of violation of the provisions of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law was filed against him.
