TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 55-year old farmer was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession unlicensed firearms and assorted ammunitions during the service of a search warrant in his residence at Bado Dangwa, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Victor A. Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as Alex Lucina Asuncion, 55, married, farmer and resident of Bado Dangwa, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Confiscated by the operating troops from his possession by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Victor Dalanao of the Municipal Trial Court in cities (MTCC) were 1 Cal. 30 (M1) bearing serial number 2891268, 1 homemade 12 gauge shot gun, 1 Cal. 25 with marking titan bearing serial No. 0989847, 10 pieces live ammunition for shot gun 12 gauge, 12 pieces live ammunition for M-16, 39 pieces live ammunition for cal. 30, 7 pieces empty shell for Cal. 30, 3 pieces live ammunition for Cal. 25, 2 magazine for M-16, 1 magazine clip for Cal. 30, 1 homemade magazine for 12 gauge shot gun, 1 magazine for Cal. 25 and 1 ammunition metal box.
The arrested farmer and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Tabuk City Police Office for documentation awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against him.
