BAUKO, Mountain Province – A 54-year old farmer was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession alleged unlicensed firearms, ammunitions and illegal drug paraphernalia during the service of separate search warrants in his three residences at Balicanao, Sadsadan, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as Manuel Reyes Lopez, 54, married, farmer, presently residing at Sitio Balicanao, Sadsadan, Bauko, Mt. Province.
Confiscated from his possession by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Joseph Patnaan of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 36 in Bontoc were 6 pieces rolled aluminum foil, 1 pc. Toote, used aluminum foils, 1 pc. 12 gauge ammunition for shotgun, 1 pieces magazine for shotgun, 6 pieces live ammunition for shotgun; 6 pcs. for cal. 38 revolver, 3 pcs. rolled aluminum foil contained in a plastic container, and a substance suspected “shabu” place inside a plastic container.
The arrested individual and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bauko Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
