SOLSONA, Ilcos Norte march 13 – A 40-year old farmer died after he was electrocuted when he tried to go fishing using a live wire in a neighbor’s fish cage at Laureta, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Emmanuel Narciso Tomas, 40, married, farmer & a resident of barangay Laureta, Solsona, Ilocos Norte.
Initial police investigation showed the victim went fishing in a neighbor’s fish cage using a live wire when he was alleged electrocuted.
Concerned fishermen who saw the incident immediately rushed the victim to the Solsona Rural Health Unit but he was transferred to the Dingras District Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to various fatal injuries on the different parts of his body.
