ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao July 23 – A 73-year old farmer died after he allegedly slipped and drowned in a river at barangay Calimag, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Crisencio Opwer Coloma , 73, married, farmer, a resident of Barangay Calimag, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was last seen crossing the river en route to his farm when he allegedly accidentally slipped and fell on the river.
He allegedly sustained abrasions and bruises on the different parts of his body as a result of the said incident.
Family members and relatives believed that the victim died due to alleged drowning and that there was no foul play in his untimely demise as supported by the findings of the municipal health officer Dr. Laurice Guillen.
