BUGUIAS, Benguet – A 68-year old farmer was found lifeless by concerned residents in a creek at sitio Alapang, barangay Sebang here at around 7:30 am Sunday.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the recovered cadaver to be Benny Siano Bula-oy, 68, single, farmer and a resident of sitio Lengadan, barangay Sebang, Buguias, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim might have fallen on the creek while on his way to his farm and reportedly drowned until such time that his cadaver was found below the road that he was traversing at that time.
Relatives of the victim brought his remains home for the performance of the appropriate rituals and tradition prior to his burial.
Probers are still ascertaining whether or not there was foul play in the victim’s untimely demise.
