PARACELIS, Mountain Province – A 35-yer old farmer was injured after he was repeatedly hacked on the different parts of his body by his fellow partner during a drinking session at Pandan, Bacarri, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Gilbert Ananayo Buminaang, 35, single, farmer and presently residing at Baay, Bacarri, Paracelis while the suspect was named as Donato Navales Flores, 44, single, farmer and presently residing at Sitio Pandan, Bacarri, Paracelis, Mt. Province.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session when a heated altercation suddenly erupted between the two individuals that forced the latter to grab a bolo and hacked his companions several times on the different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to the Paracelis District Hospital for medical treatment but he was later transferred to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for further observation while the suspect was subsequently arrested during the followup operation conducted by responding police operatives.
The suspect stands to face frustrated homicide charges which is being readied for filing before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
