KABUGAO, Apayao December 02 – A 32-year old farmer was injured after his uncle and his son aided each other in hacking him along the road at Magawad, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the victim as Blademir Collado Eppag, 32, married, farmer while the suspects were named as Rico Udlao Eppag, of legal age, uncle of the victim, married, farmer and Ricky Eppag, son of Rico Eppag, of legal age, both residents of Magawad, Kabugao, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was walking towards their residence when he noticed that his flashlight was running out of battery that propted him to call for help.
After a few moments, the suspect and his son suddenly appeared and for still unknown reasons, the former hacked him several times on his back while his son pointed a homemade shotgun at him.
The suspect again tried to hack him but he was able to block it with his right hand that caused the outright amputation of some of his fingers.
The victim was rushed to the Kabugao district hospital for medical treatment while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives for them to answer for the rime they committed.
