ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao July 23 – A 45-year old farmer died after he allegedly shot himself with the use of an improvised firarm inside his residence at San Jose, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Elmer Rivera Agasita, 45, married, farmer, a resident of barangay San Jose, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was left alone by the members of his family borrowing herbicide from their neighbors.
When his wife and his children came back to their residence after attending mass, they found his lifeless body kneeling in front of a bench inside their house with two contusions on his lower abdomen.
Family members and relatives of the victim were convinced that his death was a result of alleged suicide since there was no foul play as the crime scene was intact and that there was no sign of violence which was supported by the findings of municipal health officer Dr. Laurice Guillen.
